There’s something special about a couple that starts off as friends. Like a Julia Robert’s comedy you root for them to be together knowing just how perfect they will be. Now take out Julia and insert Amy, and now you have as Amy would say, “the legend.” This story opens with two fourteen year olds along the Savannah river. Attendants at their first BBYO convention Greg, our leading man, catches a glimpse of Amy across the room. (Now naturally in true movie fashion this moment played out it slow motion).
Amy & Greg’s paths crossed again the following year, and as the years passed the two became closer and closer (insert movie montage) until they were best friends. At the University of Georgia their friendship continued with date nights, football games, and social events until October of 2006 that is. In need of a date for the Tau Epsilon Phi foam party Greg asked Amy to once again accompany him, but this time it was different. This time it was their first true date.
Now these two amazing souls are engaged and will stand together this August as they start the next chapter of their lives. I’m sure the two fourteen year olds along the Savannah had no idea just what they were finding that night.
The night Greg proposed to Amy he told her they had reservations at the Iberian Pig in Decatur. In true stealthy guy fashion this was simply a decoy to throw Amy off, but when it was time to meet up with them for their engagement session we headed over toward the Iberian Pig and downtown Decatur for the perfect backdrop.
Love this image.
We left this engagement session grinning ear to ear, and as we got in the car Tiff’s first words were, ‘love them.’ This just speaks to the kind of fun and joy these two amazing people exert.
